To raise the profile of public transport services, and other sustainable modes as an alternative to car use
To act as a forum for the development and implementation of Best Practice in sustainable transport
To gain information about attitudes to sustainable transport
To ensure all transport initiatives are fully promoted
To discuss with the relevant service providers about extended/altered/improved service provision
To address the barriers to sustainable transport
To promote awareness of funding sources aimed specifically at supporting the above objectives
To support and implement the development of the Local Transport Plan for Salford
To monitor and review the Salford sustainable transport strategy
